Online dew point meters have high humidity measurement accuracy, so we need to pay full attention to details to avoid errors during use. The precautions for using a dew point meter have been summarized here!
1. The instrument can only be used after one week of operation of the drying or desulfurization equipment, otherwise it may be damaged or affect its service life.
2. The inlet pressure of the instrument is less than 0.9MPa. If it does not meet the requirements, a pressure reducer should be installed.
3. The measured gas must not contain liquid substances, otherwise measurement will not be allowed.
4. Adjust the pressure regulating valve in the instrument to make the pressure gauge display below 0.2MPa.
5. After opening the online dew point meter, first open the exhaust valve for purging for at least 30 minutes to ensure that there is no liquid substance in the sample gas. Then turn on the instrument power, and open the flow meter valve to make the flow rate about 20mL/Min. Wait for the flow meter to indicate that the value will decrease from 199PPM to below 50PPM (the time may be longer), and then increase the flow rate to 50mL/Min. Close the exhaust valve (be careful not to close). If there is an error between the measured value and the test value, adjust the flow meter. The number indicated by the instrument should be as close as possible to the test value.
6. When the hydrogen sulfide detector is turned on, first open the exhaust valve for at least 10 minutes of purging to ensure that there is no liquid substance in the sample gas. Turn on the instrument power, then turn on the flow meter to achieve a flow rate of approximately 100mL/Min, and at the same time close the small exhaust valve (be careful not to close it). If there is an error between the measured value and the test value, the flow rate of the flowmeter should be adjusted to make the indicated value of the instrument as close as possible to the test value.
7. After the instrument is powered on, do not open the gas circuit, monitor cover, and explosion-proof junction box cover.
8. When not in use, all valves should be closed and the inlet and outlet of the instrument should be sealed.
9. The instrument should be placed in a safe place to prevent damage. Avoid severe vibrations.
10. Do not use an online dew point meter to measure corrosive gases.
